The Story of a U.S. Army Veteran: From Corporate America to Retirement to success as an Internet Entrepreneur.

I served 3 years in the U.S. Army in the telecommunications field in Germany. I was in a fixed station with a top secret security clearance, so I won't go anymore into that other than saying it was a great experience.

When discharged I transitioned to a career working for the local telephone company. I initially worked in the Yellow Pages division (pre internet if you can remember that) for 7 years. Later I transitioned to working in the field as a Services Technician, providing business and homes with communication services for the remainder of my time there.

After 31 years I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly of working for corporate America. Most of my experience was good, but I've seen management mistreated and tossed around without union protection. I even seen such a tyrant in upper management bring so much pain to bear that 2 subordinates of his chose to take their own lives by his actions in my opinion. All within a few weeks of changes and pressures brought to bear. Ultimately it was their decision, other things could have been going on in their lives but pain inflicted by corporate politics can be excruciating leaving broken lives and families in it's wake. One I was very fond of having served under his tenure. That upper manager was eventually let go but leaving much carnage behind.

Businesses care about numbers. Sure they want to nurture a good environment to foster retention and great production but corporate structure and politics can breed some bad apples. Once I had gotten to 31 years I had seen enough. Young supervisors are brought in and in their eagerness to climb the ladder start to bring pressure on the older employees. Everybody knows bringing in younger employees, offering less benefits and paying less for a number of years is what companies do.

After being retired and needing to supplement my income I've discovered success as a Global Internet Entrepreneur. Things are much brighter now since I am now enjoying the pleasure of helping others succeed as internet entrepreneurs as well.

I live in Philadelphia, Pa. in the U.S.A. Iā€™m a U.S. Army Veteran, I love to travel, I love sports, chess, movies, and outdoor activities. I have a black belt in American Kenpo Karate, I enjoy biking and hiking for exercise and recreation, and spending my time with family and friends.
